In this next edition of Blogger Hot Minute, we venture out into another dimension of coolness. Back in January, the ThreadSence team was honored to co-host a meet and greet with Jenn and our friends over at Sugar and Fluff. Meeting her in person quickly confirmed what we already assumed - her cuteness: irresistible, her smile: infectious, and her sense of style: world class. And she is truly in a class of her own with Blogger Hot Minute, as she's our first vlogger (video blogger on YouTube) we've ever featured. Her videos have become THE go-to for fashion and lifestyle advice on Youtube. We apologize in advance for the countless hours you will invest in watching her videos, but we make no apologies for introducing you to the one and only, Jenn Im of Clothes Encounters.
Describe your style in three words.
Mixing & matching. I know that's kind of cheating, it's the truth! I mix high range items with something that's very low range like a thrifted piece. And just making a great outfit that's really me.
What inspired or motivated you to start your blog?
It started back in 2010, I knew I wanted to start a blog but I didn't want to do a text blog because there's just so many of them around I wanted to do something on YouTube because I love video editing so I thought it would be cool to mix fashion with YouTube. And at the time there was just a lot of beauty videos going on and I thought it would be something new and fresh to the table and I wanted to do it with my best friend Sarah because that way we can expand both our closets and its more content for you guys and it kind of just blew up into this right now.
What's inspired you in the last 24 hours?
So currently I'm on spring break right now so I'm hanging out with all my SoCal friends and my friends and the people that I'm meeting right now that in itself is super inspiring for me and its giving me a little kick in the butt and seeing the way that they're dressing , getting the vibes that they're giving me, seeing the work that they're doing -it makes me really excited to graduate in June and start working!
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be?
I would say steamed broccoli. I know that's a really bizarre answer but it's the truth! I have it for breakfast every morning, I'll have it as a snack, I personally love the bright color it turns when you steam it and its good for you and it tastes really good.
What tunes are you currently blasting?
So ever since my iPod died a year ago, but I've been listening to a lot of podcasts. I love Radio Lab, I love This American Life… with podcasts you can really get sucked into the stories and it keeps your mind really occupied and of things you don't really want to think about.
What's one fact about you that not many people know?
My family and close friends know this information about me but I'll be sharing this information with you guys: I am addicted to Hot Cheetos. Hot Cheetos fries to be precise.
Zombies or Aliens?
Aliens all the way.
Tea or Coffee?
Coffee! I need my caffeine.
Heels or Boots?
