Lisa... St. Eve Jewelry
Every time we cross paths with Lisa Flores, it’s total magic. Raised in our own Orange County (she graduated from Mater Dei just like our own co-founder, Vu!), the St. Eve designer is a talented, vivacious chick who’s always ready to dance. Our latest Designer Hot Minute star began St. Eve in 2009, naming the brand after her husband, Steve, as homage to his help in getting the company on its feet. St. Eve jewelry caters to the free spirit who isn’t afraid to load on some serious statement, and Lisa’s global-inspired pieces have in fact become a global phenomenon.
We were honored to visit Lisa in her OC home for a chat about her experience with St. Eve, the inspiration behind her pieces, and how she’s seen her company grow. Lisa’s humble confidence and relaxed disposition left us inspired to own our personal style and rock her badass jewelry all day, every day. We know a few words from this incredible gal will have you crushin’ on her alongside us. Without further ado, meet Lisa Flores of St. Eve.
Three fun facts about yourself. Ready? Go!
1. I love champagne and candy.
2. I love karaoke and am not afraid to get up there and bust a move in front of complete strangers.
3. 99% of my problems are hunger related.
How would you describe your jewelry to someone who has never seen it before?
Some eclectic and bohemian next-level shit.
In the last 24 hours, what was the most inspiring thing or moment that happened to you?
I would say that music is the most inspiring thing that happens to me on a daily basis. I listen to classic rock every day and Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles are two of my favorites. Something about their music is so inspiring and takes me to a creative state of mind.
What artist, musician or celebrity would you love to see in your jewelry?
Mary-Kate and Ashley…duh! They are my fashion idols.
If you had to choose between only wearing rings, bracelets, or necklaces for the rest of your life, which one could you not live without?
Rings, because almost every ring I own has a meaning behind it or reminds me of something special in my life. I especially could never live without my wedding ring. Mushy I know. Rings in one way or another alter my ego. They make me feel like the gypsy that I am at heart.
If you weren’t a jewelry designer, what would you be doing instead?
I would own a bohemian-inspired boutique in Australia. Because everything is better in Australia.
You’re stranded on a desert island. What three things do you absolutely NEED to have with you?
Ginger ale, candy, and my dogs. Sorry, husband!
What is the best piece of advice anyone has ever given you?
My dad always told me this quote and it has really stuck with me throughout the years. “If you think you can, you can. If you think you can't, you're right.”
